Reporting to the CEO and working closely with an exceptional leadership team, you’ll be responsible for leading the delivery of the fundraising strategy by securing, nurturing and retaining key relationships.

In this diverse and hand-on role, you’ll support the CEO with developing the fundraising strategy and identifying and scoping new revenue opportunities. You’ll also have oversight of the internal and external communication plan, with a view to increasing brand recognition and credibility. 

You’ll be responsible for:

  • growing fundraising revenue

  • securing new corporate partnerships

  • scoping grant funding opportunities and writing grant applications

  • cultivating and deepening existing donor and partner relationships

  • leading a small, high-performing partnerships and communication team

  • working cross-functionally including with the program and finance teams

  • income forecasting, management and reporting

  • donor communication and reporting

  • overseeing internal and external communication, content, key messaging and PR opportunities

  • managing key donor and partner events.

We’re looking for a personable, confident professional with the energy and gravitas to represent the organisation with key stakeholders. 

Ambitious and keen to use your smarts to grow revenue, you’ll have:  

  • at least 5 years’ experience in fundraising, partnerships or philanthropy

  • a strong understanding of the corporate sector

  • a proven track record cultivating relationships and driving revenue

  • experience across several areas of fundraising including corporate partnerships, grants, foundation, major gifts and/or individual giving

  • excellent written and interpersonal communication skills

  • experience with financial management

  • ability to lead and mentor a small team

  • a flexible, calm and decisive approach

  • an ability to manage a diverse workload

  • a commitment to social justice and international development.

To be considered for this role, you must be willing and able to travel overseas 2-3 times a year, for up to 4 weeks at a time.
